Belle Atelier is by appointment only so that we can offer you our full attention and personalized service. Appointments are typically one hour with a built-in 30-minute buffer in case you arrive late or need more time.

We recommend browsing our designers page before your visit to see what we have available in store. If you're hoping to see a specific gown, please give us at least 10 business days to request it — and note that not all designers loan samples and not all requests are guaranteed. Most requests come with pull fees ranging from $200-$500.

We recommend beginning your research and visits about 10–12 months before your wedding date, and placing your gown order 9–10 months in advance. Most of our designers require 6–8 months for production, and you’ll want to allow at least 12 weeks for alterations. If you wish to do alterations with our in house atelier we require 12 weeks without a rush fee.

If you wish to rush a gown through the designer rush fees can range from $500-$5,000 depending on the designer and requested delivery date.

Veils take about 10-12 weeks to order so we recommend setting up an appointment to try on and order options or note that once your alterations start we require your veil orders to be placed by your consultation.

Vivienne Westwood veils and gloves take about 18-20 weeks to arrive so we recommend purchasing with your gown order.

Please bring a charged phone and open mind! We carry a curated collection of fashion forward pieces difficult to find in your standard bridal shop. We also ask that you keep your guests limited to 2-3 plus the bride as our space is very intimate.

We ask that you avoid coming straight from the gym, exercising or spray tanning. We recommend wearing skin/flesh tone, seamless underwear and require underwear bottoms to try on our dresses.

We do not use a pedestal in our space, as we believe it creates an unrealistic impression of how the dress will actually look and feel. We do provide try-on shoes but do recommend bringing your own if you feel that sizing or height is specific to your needs.

Most of our samples are in sizes 6, 8, and 10, with select styles in 14 and 16. We've developed ways to help you try on nearly every gown — regardless of sample size.

We’re actively expanding our size range in bestsellers so every bride can feel confident during their appointment. All gowns are made-to-order based on your measurements along with neckline raises, split sizes and cup opening options to help get a closer fit. These options come with fees ranging from $500-$2,500 depending on the designer. Please note alterations are required on all gowns including custom.

After your consultation (usually about an hour), many brides take time to think — and we fully support that. Once you're ready to say yes, we’ll take around 10-12 measurements, along with photos of you in the gown and in a fitted outfit (tank and leggings) if needed for the designer.

We require a 75% deposit to begin production (85% for rush orders, 100% for accessories). Once your deposit is placed, your measurements and photos are submitted to the designer for approval.

Before your gown arrives, our scheduler will reach out to you for alterations appointments if you choose to do them with our in house Work Room. We set up one consultation/gown viewing along with two follow up fittings.

When your dress arrives at our studio, we do an initial inspection on your gown to make sure measurements and details are all in line. We then ask that you either come in for a gown viewing or we ship the gown directly to you and ask that you try on your gown (assisted by a professional or someone you trust).

Alterations with our Work Room require 12 weeks time and about 3 visits. Our NYC showroom holds all fittings in the same space. Alterations can range from $1,320-$3,960+ depending on the amount of work needed on your garment.
